Produced for the RISD "Continuing Education" online class I took in the summer of 2020, this animation was to illustrate an issue in my local community using charcoal and lead. I was inspired by animator William Kentridge’s “erase and redraw” technique. The narrative story is centered on a young boy who is diagnosed with diabetes at a young age. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, he works to raise and donate money to other children in need. The image above is my storyboard for the animation.
